Calder’s Circus. This book documents Calder’s “Circus years” and the Circus figures themselves. Begun in the mid-1920’s, the Circus is considered the germ from which grew the whole range of Calder’s later production: toys, sculpture, jewelry goaches, mobiles, and stabiles.
